⭑⭑⭑

The only life Tress has known on her island home in an emerald-green ocean has been a simple one, with the simple pleasures of collecting cups brought by sailors from faraway lands and listening to stories told by her friend Charlie. But when his father takes him on a voyage to find a bride and disaster strikes, Tress must stow away on a ship and seek the Sorceress of the deadly Midnight Sea. Amid the spore oceans where pirates abound, can Tress leave her simple life behind and make her own place sailing a sea where a single drop of water can mean instant death?

Last year Brandon Sanderson released 4 secret project books, when the news came I was so exited because I love Brandon Sanderson as an author. I have read multiple books by him one of my favorite is the first book in the Misborn series " the final empire". from all the secret projects the tress of the emerald sea was the first to be published. and this is the one I was the most exited for.

book review

I can say that I really enjoy this book. this is a shorter book than that I'm used to from Brandon Sanderson, it's around the 350 pages and that helped me finish this book. I feel like this is a perfect book to read during the fall season, because the vibes are amazing and so cosy. the setting of the book is perfect done, most of the book takes place during a trip on sea with a ship, pirates. and I love books that takes places on sea or has pirates in it. the characters are good I love tress as characters. do feel like she is not the smartest character I have read the decisions she made I could not really understand. Also I feel like this book dragged a little bit, some of the informations I think we could have left out to made this book more interesting and not so long piece of writing.

“Even small actions have consequences. And while we can often choose our actions, we rarely get to choose our consequences.”

Overall the book is really good. not my favorite of Brandon Sanderson but good enough to rate it a four stars read and a lot of young adult readers would love this.
